As a small local business, we are trying our very best to be fair to everyone when it comes to cancelled classes and services, and we have spend a lot of time taking everyone into consideration when deciding what services would be eligible for refunds, and which are being offered a credit or pass.
We fully understand that these policies will not satisfy everyone, but sadly until the government steps up and starts to offer real help to small businesses such as ours we are limited in our ability to satisfy everyone.
Our appeal to you:
If you are eligible for a refund, consider a credit for a future service instead.
Your decision alone could mean our business survival. To you, it may be $100 returned but when 200 customers request the same thing our impact is $20000, which is revenue we relied on to pay our rent and bills for the next many upcoming months to stay in business.
We are not a major company, we are parents living in your neighbourhood who has kids in the same schools, with mortgages to pay and our own families to feed, who are fighting hard to still have a business to come back too when this is over so that we can re-hire our staff who also relies on us for their income.
With that being said, we also understand that many families are falling on hard times themselves due to lost jobs which is why the upcoming Spring term does have a refund option (minus the merchant fee that we make zero profit from).
So if you have found the value in having our business in your neighbourhood, by having a safe and fun place to connect with your child, we urge you to consider the impact your request will have, or your email asking for special treatment beyond what we are already offering.
We sincerely thank you for your consideration, best Winnie & Nicole.
We will prioritize full refunds only (minus 4% merchant fee). No exceptions are made to the conditions of our policy for refunds on account (credits), class credits, make-up classes, or non-refundable deposits and non-refundable memberships.
